Anarchists in Seattle have taken over a 6-block area and declared it an “autonomous zone,” a self-governed zone where Seattle city officials are not allowed to tread.
Earlier this week they released a list of demands to city and state officials that included reforms to police policies and various free-benefits packages.
While there however, it seems that citizens of the “Capital Hill Autonomous Zone” or “CHAZ” as it’s become known have done little more than party and drink liquor. Above a resident of CHAZ laments the fact that area “leadership” is not being taken seriously by the rest of the nation.
