President Trump fired the chairman of the Tennessee Valley Authority yesterday, citing the fact that the federally owned corporation recently decided to devote 20% of its job offers to foreign nationals. The President also cited the fact that Jeff Lyash, the head of the company is “ridiculously overpaid.” Lyash makes $10 million per year.
Mr. Trump came to the decision minutes after meeting with the nonprofit organization U.S. Tech Workers, a group that advocates on behalf of American workers against the H1B visa program.
“Let this serve as a warning to any federally appointed board: If you betray American workers, then you will hear two simple words: ‘You’re fired,’” the President said about Lyash.
“You’re fired,” says Pres Trump, invoking catchphrase from his TV show, and directing it at the CEO of the Tennessee Valley Authority. Says the CEO is “ridiculously overpaid.” WH also critical of TVA decision to outsource 20% of its technology jobs to foreign workers.

Trump also signed an executive order Monday cracking down on federal agencies who fire American employees and replace them with foreign workers.
