Congressional Candidate Kimberly Klacik Asks Tough Questions of Democrats: “Name a Blue City Where Black People’s Lives Have Gotten Better?”

Headlines Politics U.S.

Kimberly Klacik, an African-American, is running for Congress from Maryland’s 7th District, which encompasses just over half of the city of Baltimore.

In a political add released yesterday, she asks tough questions of Democrats and points out the shortcomings of the Democratic agenda.

“It’s not just Baltimore. The worst place for a Black person to live in America is a Democrat controlled city. It’s 2020. Name a blue city where Black people’s lives have gotten better? Try, I’ll wait,” Klacik says.

“Do you want to defund the police?” an African-American man is asked in the ad. “No,” he responds. “I had three sons killed in Baltimore City and I think if we defunded the police office we’ll be worser [sic] than that.”

Klacik then blames the Democratic Party for taking their votes for granted, while Democratic policies have proven disastrous for the African-American community writ-large.

“Democrats think Black people are stupid. They think they can control us forever that we won’t demand better and that we’ll keep voting for them forever despite what they’ve done to our families and our communities.”

“Are they right?” she asks.
