21-year-old Olivia M. Winslow was taken into custody by police in connection with a crime that went viral last week. She was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Winslow and another woman could be seen on video snatching a 7-year-old boy’s MAGA hat and grabbing and tearing a pro-President Trump sign out of the boy’s mother’s hands, as the boy and his mom were standing outside the virtual Democratic National Convention on Friday.
The boy attempts to recover his hat, telling one of the women “That’s somebody else’s hat!” But the woman grabs it back. As Riley begins to cry and plead with the women, one of them responds, “We don’t give a [expletive], your mom likes Trump.”
Winslow was arraigned and released on her own recognizance pending prosecution. The other woman in the video who reportedly stomped on the boy’s hand, ripped a sign out of his mom’s hand, and punched a man in the face is still at large.
