Chinese Virologist, Defects to the West, Publishes What She Calls “Smoking Gun” Evidence That Covid19 Was Made in a Lab

Dr. Li-Meng Yan, a Hong Kong scientist, defected to the West earlier this year. In July she told Fox News that she believes the Chinese government knew about the dangers of Covid19 well before admitting they did.

This week, Dr. Yan took to Twitter and published a scientific paper alleging “smoking gun” evidence Covid19 was created in a lab.

Her analysis, which is thorough, centers on the Receptor-Binding Domain (RBD) of the virus.

The RBD is an integral part of a virus that allows it to attach itself to healthy cells to gain entry into the cells and infect them.

Dr. Yan finds that recent studies have practically exempted all animals from their suspected roles as an intermediate host for the virus. That, she says, is consistent with the finding that Covid19 was well-adapted for infection of, and transmissibility between, humans from the very start of the outbreak. These are unusual findings when taken in tandem.

She says that the RBM of Covid19 has been “swapped” with RBM’s of other viruses that are already known to be transmissible between humans. And that the scientists who work at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) are known to have conducted such work.

That “swap” of RBM’s is virtually impossible to have occurred in nature, and she says, is a “smoking gun proving that the RBM/Spike of SARS-CoV-2 is a product of genetic manipulation.”

“Evidently, the possibility that SARS-CoV-2 could have been created through gain-of-function manipulations at the WIV is significant and should be investigated thoroughly and independently,” she finds.

Dr. Yan’s Twitter account was suspended after she published her work.
