Blame for Trump Election Night Performance Falls Immediately on Jared Kushner

Headlines Politics U.S.

Trump aides have begun assigning blame for the situation President Trump finds himself in. The blame is falling most squarely on the President’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

Critics blame Kushner for pursuing his other responsibilities at the expense of what should have been the White House’s most important priority: Mr. Trump’s reelection campaign.

“He was busy being president,” one Republican told The Washington Post.

Others blame him for poor preparation in advance of easily foreseeable litigation arising after election night.

Jared Kushner f***** it up,” a senior Trump official said of the campaign’s post-Election-Day legal strategy.
