A 13 year-old boy was shot and killed during an attempted home invasion in northern Indiana yesterday. Officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire late Tuesday.
Investigators searched the apartment where the shooting took place and concluded that the boy was shot during an attempted robbery. According to preliminary reports, the deceased person was the attempted home invasion suspect, but the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office has not confirmed that yet and say they will once they are able to do so.
Mishawka, the town in which the shooting took place, is about 10 miles east of South Bend, Indiana.
