President Trump reiterated his claim that there was no collusion between his campaign the and the Russian government during 2016 presidential election Thursday, but added, “even there was, it’s not a crime.” The President made the comment during an interview with the New York Times.
The President’s campaign has been the subject of an ongoing investigation by the FBI since the summer of 2016. He also added that the special counsel in charge of the investigation, former FBI chief Robert Mueller, has been treating him “fairly,” but said of the investigation, “it makes the country look very bad, and it puts the country in a very bad position. So the sooner it’s worked out, the better it is for the country.”
