Republican satisfaction with the direction of the country is at the highest level it’s been since 2007, according to a new poll. Gallup has found that 61% of Republicans are satisfied with the direction of the country. One in four Republicans say they are very satisfied, while 36% say they are somewhat satisfied.
The optimism, however, is not shared on the other side of the aisle. Only 6% of Democrats say they are satisfied with the country’s direction. Sixty-eight percent say they are very dissatisfied and 24% say they are somewhat dissatisfied.
Among Americans overall, 29% say they are satisfied with the direction of the country and 69% say they are dissatisfied.
