President Trump revealed in an interview that he sometimes tweets from bed and occasionally lets others tweet for him. The president made the revelation in an interview with Piers Morgan on Britain’s ITV network.
“Well, perhaps sometimes in bed, perhaps sometimes at breakfast or lunch or whatever, but generally speaking during the early morning, or during the evening I can do whatever, but I am very busy during the day, very long hours. I am busy,” the president said.
There have been reports that the president spends up to eight hours a day watching television and has delayed the start of his work day to 11 a.m. so he can spend more time in the morning watching news and tweeting about stories he sees. The president has pushed back on those claims however, saying that he doesn’t have much time for TV because of the amount of reading that’s required.
“But I don’t get to watch much television. Primarily because of documents. I’m reading documents. A lot. I actually read much more — I read you people much more than I watch television,” the president said, speaking to print reporters.
The president was also asked about the impending wedding between England’s Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle in the spring of this year. The president replied, “not that I know of” when asked if he was invited. Prince Harry and Markle are scheduled to be married in May.
