Altria Group Inc., a tobacco giant, will give its non-executive employees $3,000 each because of the GOP-passed tax plan the company announced. According to the company, over 7,000 employees will receive the benefit. The benefit will amount to a total expense of $24 million.
The company has also announced $35 million in donations for various charity programs, with a focus on work and youth development for the next three years.
Over 300 companies have announced either bonuses, wage increases or other compensation as a result of the tax cuts according to Americans for Tax Reform.
