Ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, Democrat Adam Schiff of California, fired back at President Trump this morning after the president assailed Schiff for his role in the ongoing Russia investigations. Schiff has been one of the president’s most vocal critics and one of Congress’ most dogged investigators of the scandal.
The president accused Schiff of being leaker and a liar in an early morning tweet.
Little Adam Schiff, who is desperate to run for higher office, is one of the biggest liars and leakers in Washington, right up there with Comey, Warner, Brennan and Clapper! Adam leaves closed committee hearings to illegally leak confidential information. Must be stopped!

Schiff fired back by suggesting that the president’s time would be better spent on legislative matters such as the impending budget crisis or immigration.
Mr. President, I see you’ve had a busy morning of “Executive Time.” Instead of tweeting false smears, the American people would appreciate it if you turned off the TV and helped solve the funding crisis, protected Dreamers or…really anything else. https://t.co/lVqQRu2Gjl

A controversial memo that Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee released last week has consumed Washington and hardened battle lines in the FBI and Russia investigations. Democrats have composed their own memo that will, they say, refute the findings of the Republican one. A vote to release that memo is scheduled to take place in the Committee today at 5 p.m.
