Researchers at Harvard University have published a study rating the safest ways to have sex during the coronavirus epidemic. They ranked different scenarios based on the likelihood of contracting covid19 while engaging in them. Having sex with people other than those you are quarantined with ranked last and riskiest.
The study recommended “risk reduction” techniques for patients engaging is such activities that included “avoiding sex partners with symptoms” of covid19 and “wearing a mask.”
The study found that abstinence was the least risky behavior but says that may not be an “achievable goal” during the lockdown.
The study was published in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine on May 8.
