Last week an African-American man attacked a white Macy’s employee in Flint, MI. Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton announced yesterday that 18-year-old Damire Canell Palmer has charged with intent to do great bodily harm, a 10-year felony, in connection with the attack.
This African American man beat a white employee of a Macy’s.
Security footage shows the attack was unprovoked.
Watch the video and tell me this shouldn’t be investigated as a hate crime.

The attack was allegedly filmed by Palmer’s brother, rapper FT Quay. Quay claimed that he heard the employee, who was on the phone at the time, user the “N-word.” Quay claimed his brother attacked the employee “on instinct.”
An investigation conducted by police did not uncover any evidence of provocation by the store manager, however.
The manager could be heard saying “I didn’t touch you. … I’m sorry,” as he was on the floor and the attack continued.
Quay has since deleted his social media.
Macy’s also released a statement corroborating the police’s findings of no wrongdoing on the employee’s part.
“We are deeply saddened about the incident that took place on Monday (June 15) at Macy’s Genesee Valley as the safety of Macy’s customers and colleagues is our top priority,” Andrea Schwartz, senior director of media relations for Macy’s, said. “Violence in the workplace of any kind is unacceptable. All the materials from the evening have been reviewed and it is clear that the attack was unprovoked. We are working closely with local authorities on this investigation, and will defer any further comments about the case to them per policy.”
