Amid the rising crime and violence in Minneapolis since the killing of George Floyd in May, the Minneapolis Police Department has issued advice to citizens on how to cooperate with criminals who are trying to rob them.
They include several tips such as not walking alone, being “prepared to give up your cell phone and purse/wallet” and “do not argue or fight with the criminal” but “do as they say.”

The Minneapolis City Council voted unanimously in June to abolish the city’s police department, while several members have hired private security details for protection – at the taxpayer’s expense.
