Police in Melbourne, Australia, broke down the door to a home and arrested a man, for organizing a Covid19 anti-lockdown protest.
James Bartolo, a former soldier and activist who, in his words, fights against the “corrupt and failed system” during the Covid19 lockdown, was arrested for “incitement, possession of prohibited weapons and two counts of resisting police,” according to Australian reports.
He was also presented with a search warrant and had a mobile phone and laptops seized.
The dramatic incident was captured by Bartolo on video.
The arrest seems to have done little to tamp down Bartolo’s activism, however. Hours later, he appeared live on his Facebook page telling followers he was in “good spirits” and cautioning them against attending the Saturday protest as it would be a “trap,” he said.
