President Trump is challenging Democrats in Congress on helping the American people with Covid19 relief funds.
“If I am sent a Stand Alone Bill for Stimulus Checks ($1,200), they will go out to our great people IMMEDIATELY. I am ready to sign right now. Are you listening Nancy?” the President wrote on Twitter last night, referring to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
He would follow up this morning with another tweet directed at Speaker Pelosi: “Move Fast, I Am Waiting To Sign! @SpeakerPelosi” Trump wrote.

The President has instructed administration officials to cease negotiations over the next Covid19 Releif package yesterday, saying negotiations would resume after the election.
Mr. Trump criticized Congressional Democrats for wanting “bailouts for poorly run, high crime, Democrat States,” with “money that is in no way related to COVID-19.”

Congressional Republicans supported the President’s position, saying because of Democrats’ intransigence, their sole focus should shift to confirming Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court instead.
“I do,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told me when asked if he supports President Trump’s decision to end stimulus talks.
“I think his view was that they were not going to produce a result and we need to concentrate on what’s achievable,” McConnell said of Trump’s move.
