The Financial Times is reporting that Miskin has been advising Fox reporters there will be significant uncertainty around the results, and they should refrain from going with those results that do not reinforce polling that was done before the election.
“We will give that guidance to all of our reporters: do not draw conclusions if you’re seeing a lead that’s inconsistent with pre-election polling,” Mishkin said.
Most “pre-election polling” shows Democrat Joe Biden, although polling that takes the “shy” Trump voter into account shows Trump in the lead.
Twitter released a list of seven mainstream media outlets that will be allowed to call election results tomorrow night. If any source not on that list attempts to make an election call, their tweets will be flagged, the platform says.
The list includes: ABC News, AP, CNN, CBS News, Decision Desk HQ, Fox News and NBC News.
