Former Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson called fraud allegations in Detroit “very concerning,” saying they “require court intervention.”
Johnson made the comments in a court affidavit filed in support of a lawsuit brought by a group of Republican poll watchers who are seeking a delay in the certification of the state’s election results until an audit of possibly fraudulent ballots can occur.
Johnson served as Michigan’s Secretary of State for 7 years from 2011 to 2018. She is now a state senator.
