An election worker from Michigan testified this week that the only poll challengers who were being treated unfairly at her Detroit election site were white, male Republicans.
The poll watcher, who is of Indian descent, said being “brown” was her “trump card,” and she used it “all day” to not get ejected from the facility.
The woman, whose said her name was Hima, made the statements in a hearing before Michigan state legislators this week.
Hima also testified that Republican poll challengers who protested too loudly to any fraud they witnessed were quickly ejected from the poll-counting facility – some being led out in handcuffs.
“That’s when I decided I was going to [come forward and testify],” Hima said. “It was heartbreaking.”
