Joe Biden says he called Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to thank him after the Senate Majority Leader congratulated Biden from the floor of the U.S. Senate this morning.
“I called to thank him for the congratulations, told him although we disagree on a lot of things, there’s things we can work together on…we agreed we’d get together sooner than later,” Biden said.
“The Electoral College has spoken. So today I want to congratulate President-Elect Joe Biden. The President-Elect is no stranger to the Senate,” McConnell said.
