Patrick Byrne on Raucous Oval Office Meeting: President Trump is Being Terribly Served by His Advisors – They’re Trying to Get Him to Concede

Headlines Politics U.S.

Former Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne says President Trump is being poorly served by his closest advisors, most of whom have defeatist attitudes and are trying to get him to concede the 2020 election prematurely. He made the statements on the Dark to Light podcast with Tracy Beanz.

Byrne talked about a now-infamous 5-hour meeting that took place in the Oval Office on Friday, Dec. 19. In that meeting Byrne says he, along with General Michael Flynn and attorney Sidney Powell tried to convince President Trump to keep fighting to expose voter fraud that took place in the 2016 election.

It is during that meeting that Byrne says Mr. Trump made Sidney Powell a special counsel in charge of investigating the myriad voting irregularities that took place on and after Nov. 3.

Since that day however, Powell has been barred from seeing or communicating with the President or from entering the White House. Byrne says that effort is being lead by Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and members of Trump’s White House legal team.
