In a dramatic development, Pennsylvania state legislators are asking Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to dispute the state’s election results until an investigation into the allegations of fraud can be conducted.
The request was made this morning by PA State Senator Doug Mastriano.
“Today, members of the PA House and Senate request that Sen Mitch McConnell and Rep Kevin McCarthy dispute the PA election results until an investigation is conducted into the numerous claims of fraud. Until this is completed, the hastily certified results can’t be trusted,” Mastriano wrote.
A president- and vice-president-elect are not legally designated until a joint session of Congress meets to certify the results of the Electoral College. That is set to take place on Jan. 6.
