Joseph Mifsud Disappeared Reportedly After Head of Italian Intelligence Service Advised Him to – Were They Trying to Protect Origins of SpyGate?

Headlines Politics U.S. World

Joseph Mifsud, the mysterious professor who hasn’t been seen or heard from since at least 2019, said he was advised to “disappear” for “some time” by the head of Italian intelligence services.

Mifsud is the professor who originally told former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos that Russia had “dirt” on Hillary Clinton in the form of “thousands” of emails.

Mifsud disappeared after files of the investigation were made public in October 2017.

It has since been revealed that he spent the next several months hiding out in an apartment in Rome.

Bizarrely, Mifsud’s passport was found in Câmara de Lobos, a popular tourist town in Portugal, in August of 2017 – three months before he disappeared but six months after he was reportedly interviewed by the FBI.

In January 2018 when asked why he disappeared by the man who would become his attorney, Stephen Roh Mifsud reportedly said that “the head of the Italian secret services contacted the president of Link Campus, Vincenzo Scotti, and recommended that the Professor shall disappear and stay for some time in a safe location.”

Were Italian intelligence officials trying to cover the origins of SpyGate?

Recent revelations have brought to light allegations that elements within the Italian government, acting in concert with former President Barack Obama and members of his administration, conspired to unravel Donald Trump’s presidency, first with the introduction of SpyGate then through direct manipulation of votes during the 2020 election.

It’s being alleged Obama, with $400 million purportedly earmarked for Iran but diverted covertly to Italy, authorized the funding of the operations in the last days of his administration. Obama and Italian Prime Minister at the time Matteo Renzi enjoyed a close relationship.

Mifsud’s lawyer Stephen Roh, says he has not spoken to his client since Robert Mueller’s report on the now-debunked Russia investigation was published in March 2019.
