Vicki O’Brien on How Hollywood Targets Kids

Vicki O’Brien, an actress with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, has a warning for parents about how Hollywood targets children.

“The two biggest lies in Hollywood are these: One, that their goal is to entertain you. That’s not their goal. They have an agenda. That’s not it,” O’Brien tells ITN. “The second thing is that you have a choice in what you watch. Because you really don’t when six main media conglomerates control almost all of it, and then they’re controlling the mantras.”

“So you could have thousands of TV shows but when they’re all parroting the same big mantras, you really don’t have a choice.”

O’Brien’s harshest criticism is for the Walt Disney Company which she says is little more than a child predatory organization.

“I have this saying that a lot of my friends hate but it’s just true. The truth doesn’t care how you feel about it. It’s still the truth at the end of the day whether you like it or not. That means we’re going to have to look at things we don’t want to look at. And we’ve got to start with Disney,” she says.

“Walt Disney as a company and the resorts – this may be really, really hard for some people to hear – but it’s honestly the best dressed child predatory avenue or trap that’s out there. That’s really what it is.”

O’Brien gives presentations where she cites numerous examples of messaging embedded in children’s programming – especially cartoons – as proof of that agenda.

“Let me give you two examples from animated projects that’ll ring true. One, there’s this Donald Duck cartoon and Donald Duck is sitting in a doctor’s office and the eye chart on the back of the wall literally spells out “Ask About Illuminati.”

“There’s a scene in the Little Rescuers…they’re in this old cart, going down the street. The two little mice are there. But if you look in the window in the background there’s a light on, but if you pay attention and look there’s literally a nude woman at the window and it shows her breasts.”

“It’s an animated scene. So that’s not done by accident.”

“There’s a scene in the Lion King where it’s either Simba or Mufasa sitting on the edge of the cliff just lying there and you can see a lot of the sky and the clouds, the wispy clouds in the sky spell out ‘Sex.’”

“The list goes on and on and on,” she says.

O’Brien, along with her team have started Relevant Entertainment, a company that aims to build an infrastructure outside of the Hollywood economy to bring values-based, world-class entertainment to families across the world.

“A lot of people write to me and they say, Vicki, what can I do? I know it’s broken but I’m not in the industry, what can I do? Here’s what you can do. I know not everybody can do what we’re doing so we’re fighting, we’ll be on the front lines. Just support those companies that are doing this.”

“Pray for us. That’s the big thing anybody can do and the first thing we should go to. And then secondly, support those companies. Don’t give your money to the evil empire that’s doing what they’re doing. Cancel your Disney Plus subscriptions, quit going to their movies, quit watching it.”

“People are going to have get uncomfortable,” O’Brien says.
