Israeli authorities have neared a consensus to recommend that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be indicted on corruption charges it was reported today.  Israeli police chiefs believe they have sufficient evidence to indict Netanyahu for taking bribes.

The police chiefs were in “unanimous agreement,” it was reported today, that Netanyahu allegedly accepted bribes and received lavish gifts from wealthy benefactors.  Netanyahu denied the charges in a Facebook post.

“Many of you are asking what is going to happen,” Netanyahu said. “So I’m here to calm you down, there won’t be anything, because I know the truth….There may be recommendation, but there was nothing.”

Netanyahu has been dealing with the threat of criminal charges for months after allegations that he took bribes from wealthy campaign contributors in exchange for political favors came to light last summer.
