A new study conducted by the University Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland, has found that Covid19 antibodies only appear in 1 out of 5 Covid-positive patients. That leads scientists to believe that antibodies are absent from the majority of mild Covid cases.
If true, that would mean Covid19 may be 5x times more widespread than previously thought, therefore 5x less deadly.
Given the innacuracies of antibody testing another possible explanation for the lack of antibodies is that symptoms doctors ascribed to Covid19 patients were actually symptoms of the common cold.
These findings jibe with another study released last month by the La Jolla Institute that found evidence that up to 60% of people may be partially resistant to Covid19 without ever having been exposed to it.
