The state of Connecticut will now require residents to provide a doctor’s note to be allowed to forego face masks in public. That according to an executive order signed by Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz on Friday.
The doctor’s note must state that an individual is exempt from wearing a mask due to a medical condition.
The rule went into effect on August 14 and will remain in effect for six months.
Earlier this month, Dr. Deborah Birx, one of the top officials on the nation’s Coronavirus Task Force, suggested that the wearing of face masks inside one’s home may become necessary.
