Last month it was reported that the Black Lives Matter movement is using ActBlue to collect donations. ActBlue is a technology company that develops fundraising platforms for organizations and movements in exchange for a small processing fee on each donation made.

It was revealed that BLM is not a non-profit organization, and that non-profit organization Thousand Currents was providing ‘fiduciary oversight, financial management, and other administrative services” to BLM.

It was further that Susan Rosenberg was serving on the board of Thousand Currents. Rosenberg was a member of the Weather Underground, and authorities say she played a role in several domestic terrorist attacks. She was convicted for those roles in 1985 and was sentenced to 58 years in prison. She had only served 16 of them when she was pardoned by President Bill Clinton in 2001 on his very last day in office.

Now it seems ActBlue is funding only candidates that it says fits with its progressive ideals.

Aaron Coleman a nominee for State Representative in Kansas’ 37th district found this out yesterday when his ActBlue account was shut down without warning.

Coleman, 19, has had a past of physical abuse and bullying.

The concern is ActBlue is near monopoly at this point, and now seems to be using that power to influence races.
