Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the U.S. Coronavirus Task Force, recommended taking Vitamin D – and said he does so himself – to boost one’s immune system.
He also touted the positive affects of Vitamin C.
“If you’re deficient in vitamin D, that does have an impact on your susceptibility to infection,” Fauci said last week. “I would not mind recommending, and I do it myself, taking vitamin D supplements.”
“The other vitamin that people take is vitamin C because it’s a good antioxidant, so if people want to take a gram or so of vitamin C, that would be fine,” he added.
The statements raised eyebrows as many in the mainstream media, and especially the big tech companies, have marginalized, censored and even banned posts that touted vitamins as a way to effectively fight the Covid19 pandemic.
Facebook was banning people who claimed that Vitamin D could help fight coronavirus.

1. In April I said supplement with D3 and zinc. And get natural D with sunlight for 15 min. The ignorant @azcentral quickly hired a quack who falsely claimed “I’d have to say that the science doesn’t support a lot of these claims,” said Dr. Frank LoVecchio. https://t.co/JHaWyAyuIe

“So people saying, ‘Take vitamin C, take turmeric, we’ll cure you,’ those are the examples of things that would be a violation of our policy,” YouTube’s CEO Susan Wojcicki told CNN back in April. “Anything that would go against World Health Organization recommendations would be a violation of our policy.”
Facebook also instituted aggressive policies regarding posts about vitamins and Covid19.
It’s unclear whether big tech companies will continue these policies regarding vitamins D & C in light of Fauci’s comments.
