The Houston Police Department has taken a man into custody at a downtown Houston hotel where a New Year’s Eve party was scheduled to take place. Police say they found an AR-15 rifle, shotgun and handgun in his room, along with ammunition. They also found more weapons in is pickup truck.
The man was arrested at the bar of Houston’s Hyatt Regency Hotel. The hotel is the site of a large New Year’s Eve celebration held on four floors, and includes live performances and a massive balloon drop at midnight.
