Merriam-Webster Dictionary Expands Definition of the word “Female”

Headlines Health Politics U.S.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary, one of, if not the most widely used dictionaries in the world, has expanded its definition of the word “female” to include “having a gender identity that is opposite of male.”

The updated definition seems to effectively negate the concept of biological sex.

The dictionary primary definition is “of, relating to, or being the sex that typically has the capacity to bear young or produce eggs.”

The definition-expansion seems to be an acquiescense to the transgender movement.
