Kyle Rittenhouse’s legal team released never before seen video footage appearing to bolster Rittenhouse’s claim of self-defense during the violent events of August 25.

Rittenhouse, a 17-year-old, shot 3 individuals in Kenosha, Wisconsin, that night, killing 2 of them, amid violent protests in the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting.

A critical scene in the new footage (which begins at the 3:57 mark) appears to show a shot being fired in the vicinity of Rittenhouse, who was running away from protesters who were chasing him. The footage also appears to show one of Rittenhouse’s victims, Joseph Rosenbaum, lunging for Rittenhouse’s weapon in the seconds before Rittenhouse shot him.

Kyle Rittenhouse has been charged with multiple felonies for the events of that night, including first-degree murder, and is currently awaiting trial.
