Member of Michigan Governor Kidnap Gang Pardoned by Democratic Delaware Governor Last Year

Headlines Politics U.S.

A member of the so-called right-wing militia group that plotted to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer last week was pardoned by Democratic Delaware Governor John Carney last year, it’s been revealed.

Carney signed the pardon for Barry Gordon Croft Jr., in April 2019. Croft faced a number of charges in Delaware in the mid 1990s, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, assault and burglary.

We reported yesterday that another member of the ring, 23-year-old Daniel Harris, attended a Black Lives Matter protest in June, saying at the time he was “upset about the killing of George Floyd and police violence.”

Yet another, Brandon Caserta, says in an online video, “Trump is not your friend, dude. And it amazes that people actually…believe that.”

He goes on to call Trump a “tyrant.” He also has an anarchist flag hanging in the background of many of his videos.

Much of the mainstream media’s narrative – that the group was a far-right, violent, extremist militia – has begun to unravel as details of the plotters continue to emerge.
