Case Against Michigan Governor Kidnap Gang Beginning to Unravel? Plotters Only Discussed Making a “Citizen’s Arrest,” FBI Informant Was Paid $8,600 to Ensnare Suspects

Headlines Politics U.S.

As details emerge surrounding the alleged plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D), a picture begins to come into focus less of a well-thought out plot hatched by White-supremacists and more of “military wannabes” who had little intention of doing more than “talking big”  in internet chat rooms.

According to court filings six individuals considering executing a citizen’s arrest of Whitmer for her Covid19 lockdown policies, not a “kidnapping.” They felt those policies infringed on their civil rights. Those policies were recently struck down by the Michigan Supreme Court as unconstitutional.

It’s also being reported that “those present included an FBI confidential source who recorded the meetings” between the men and that “the source has been paid $8,600.”

Even left-wing journalists are noting that this case has all the earmarks of an entrapment case.

We pointed out earlier this week that one member of the gang attended a Black Lives Matter protest in June saying at the time he was “upset about the killing of George Floyd and police violence.”

Yet another seems to be virulently anti-Trump.“Trump is not your friend, dude. And it amazes that people actually…believe that,” he says before going on to call Trump a “tyrant.”
