Roy Moore Accuser’s Home Destroyed by Fire

Blog

The home of Tina Johnson was destroyed by fire yesterday in Gadsden, Alabama.  Johnson is one of the women who accused former Alabama senate candidate, Roy More, of sexual harassment in the weeks leading up to December’s special election.  Arson is being investigated, but the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office said that the investigation “does not lead us to believe that the fire is any way related to Roy Moore or allegations made against him.”

Johnson was one of eight women who came forward with allegations of inappropriate behavior on the part of Moore.  Moore denied the allegations but wound up losing the election to Democrat Doug Jones.  It is the first time a Democrat has been elected to the US Senate from Alabama since the 1990s.
