Suspect Who Allegedly Hit Police Officer with a Bat Identified as Jacob Greenberg, Son of Former Dem State Rep

The individual suspected of clobbering a police officer with a baseball bat during a night of violent protests in Seattle has been identified as Jacob Greenberg.

Greenberg, 19, is the stepson of a former state representative Laura Ruderman of Kirkland, WA, reports KTTH.

Greenberg has been arrested on suspicion of arson during a weekend riot outside of the East Precinct. Upon searching his home, police reportedly found a bat and outfit matching the one in the video the suspect involved in the assault was wearing.

Greenberg’s Facebook page is full of anti-police posts, such as “We don’t get justice they don’t get peace!” He has also asked for help getting suspects out of jail. A post from September 24 says he attended the protest in question.

The Seattle Police Department says he has not yet been charged in the bat assault.
