GOP Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska harshly criticized President Trump in a phone conversation with constituents last week.

Sasse said Trump has “careened from curb to curb” on dealing with the coronavirus,” “kisses dictators’ butts,” “regularly sells out [U.S.] allies,” “spends like a drunken sailor,” “mocks evangelicals behind closed doors,” and has “flirted with white supremacists.” Sasse also said he takes issue with “the way [Trump] mistreats women.”

Sasse gave the critique in response to a question from a Nebraska constituent who asked Sasse why Sasse has to criticize the President so much.

The Nebraska Senator has been a harsh critic of President Trump’s since the 2016 campaign.

President Trump dismissed Sasse’s comments as those of a RINO (Republican in Name Only), who is not very effective and is a “liability” to the Republican Party.
