A recently released tranche of emails from Hillary Clinton’s State Dept. shows desire by the former Secretary to help the Muslim Brotherhood secure funding for a regional television network that would air positive messages about the group to the Middle East and broader Muslim world.
The Muslim Brotherhood is regarded as a terrorist organization in many Arab/Muslim countries.
The emails show a plan between Clinton and the government of Qatar to fund the network with $100 million. This was to assuage Muslim Brotherhood complaints about the weakness of their media outreach compared to other outlets.
The goal was to establish a network run by the Muslim Brotherhood similar to Voice of America.
