A former associate of Hunter Biden was told in a text message exchange not to mention the involvement of VP Joe Biden in a company being set up with Chinese investors.
“Don’t mention Joe being involved, it’s only when u are face to face, I know u know that but they are paranoid,” James Gilliar instructed Tony Bobulinski on May 20, 2017, according to electronic files publicly released.
In response, Bobulinski wrote, “OK they should be paranoid about things.”
“For real,” Gilliar replies.
In another message sent the same day, Bobulinski tells Gilliar, “You need to stress to H, does he want to be the reason or factor that blows up his dad’s campaign, things need to be done right and protective of that fact.”
“H” refers to Hunter Biden.
The text messages were in relation to a company being set up with Chinese investors that would invest in infrastructure, real estate and technology in the U.S. and around the world, according to Bobulinski.
Joe Biden has repeatedly asserted that he has never earned any money from foreign business deals, nor has he ever discussed international dealings with his son, Hunter.
