Joe Biden says he would get shut down the oil industry in the U.S. if elected president next month. The former Vice-President made the statements during last night’s final debate between he and Donald Trump.
Even progressive moderator Kristen Welker seemed taken aback. “Why would you do that?” she asked.
“Because the oil industry pollutes significantly,” Biden responded. He went on to say that he would grant the solar and wind industries federal subsidies to help their business grow.
“That’s a big statement,” President Trump said in response. “Basically what he’s saying is he is going to destroy the oil industry. Will you remember that Texas? Will you remember that Pennsylvania, Oklahoma?”
