Obama Appointed Judge Denies Powell Request for Preliminary Injunction in Michigan

Headlines Politics U.S.

A federal judge in Michigan has denied a request for a preliminary injunction brought by Republican lawmakers and presented by Attorney Sidney Powell.

Powell had argued that due to extensive fraud in Michigan, the state should be barred from certifying its election results.

Judge Linda V. Parker however, who was appointed by President Obama, disagreed.

She dismissed reams of evidence as merely “beliefs” and not “evidence” of crimes.

And in logic difficult to follow, Parker seems to rule that violations of Michigan election law do not automatically amount to illegal activity, and if they did, Parker writes, it would be an issue for the state to work out, not the federal government.
