Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has been served with a subpoena from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, it was revealed yesterday.
At least one federal subpoena for records from Paxton’s office has been issued as part of an investigation into allegations of abuse of office and bribery, it is being reported.
The charges stem from dealings with Austin investor Nate Paul. Top Paxton aides claim the AG took steps to benefit Paul, whose offices were raided by the FBI last year.
The inquiries come just days after Paxton filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Supreme Court against four battleground states challenging the results of the Nov. 3 presidential election.
