President Trump announced this evening that Bill Barr has resigned his post as U.S. Attorney General, effective next week.
Just had a very nice meeting with Attorney General Bill Barr at the White House. Our relationship has been a very good one, he has done an outstanding job! As per letter, Bill will be leaving just before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family…

The President posted a copy of the resignation letter tendered and accepted on Twitter moments ago.
Jeff Rosen, the current Deputy Attorney General, will serve as Acting Attorney General once Barr steps down.
Barr received harsh criticism in recent days for his seeming refusal to investigate numerous allegations of voter fraud committed during the Nov. 3 presidential election.
