Michigan GOP Electors Show Up to Do Their Constitutional Duty – Vote in the Electoral College – State Police Refuse to Let Them Enter Capital Building

Headlines Politics U.S.

GOP electors arrived at the Michigan State Capital Building today to cast their votes in the electoral college. They were not allowed to enter the building.

No explanation was given for their blocked entry. The officer at the door would say only “If you have a problem, you can contact the Governor’s office.”

Under the U.S. Constitution only a state’s legislature can decide which electors will cast votes in the Electoral College.
