CNN reporter Jeff Zeleny accidentally referred to Joe Biden as “President-Elect Joebama” live on the air on Tuesday.
“President-elect Joebama — uh, Joe Biden, rather — did finish speaking here just a short time ago,” Zeleny said, correcting himself in real time.
Biden served as President Obama’s Vice President for 8 years.
A Biden presidency has often been derided as a third Obama term, and Biden’s picks for his cabinet have rankled the feathers of many firebrand liberals. They see the choices as more consistent with the past and in line with establishment Democrats rather than the decidedly more progressive/socialistic tacks many want the would-be administration to take.
