A group of citizens organized by Voters Organized for Trusted Election Results in Georgia (VoterGA) have filed a lawsuit against Fulton County officials over the now-infamous “suitcase full of ballots” incident that led to Joe Biden being called the winner of the state.
The plaintiffs allege the group of workers seen on the video illegally tabulated thousands of mail-in ballots which were kept hidden under tables until the media and Republicans election monitors were told to leave.
The suit emphasizes a connection between those ballots and a subsequent spike in vote tallies which skewed the vote heavily in Biden’s favor.
VoterGA co-founder Garland Favorito told the Georgia Star News that he had more citizens willing to come forward and be parties to the suit than was originally anticipated.
“We have hundreds of volunteers,” Favorito explained. “We just [explained] last weekend in our meeting that we were going to sue the county for what they did at State Farm. And we asked if anyone would like to serve as plaintiffs. We only really needed 2-4 – but so many wanted to do it [that] we ended up with nine plaintiffs.”
“I think this suit has a better chance of success than other suits because it’s very precise,” Favorito said. “There’s nothing esoteric about it.”
