Pelosi Asks for Unanimous Consent in Moving Stand-Alone $2,000 Stimulus-Check Bill Through House After Trump Demands More Help for Americans

Headlines Politics U.S. Videos

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is asking for unanimous consent from members in moving a revised Covid19 stimulus bill through the House, it was revealed today.

The bill would be a stand-alone bill, meaning it would cover only stimulus checks sent to individual Americans.

Last night, President Trump rejected a bill Congress spent months putting together saying it contained too much wasteful spending and not enough help for Americans. The amount of relief contained in that bill was $600 to American taxpayers.

If the unanimous consent moves forward without objection from House Republicans the revised bill could reach the Senate by tomorrow morning.
