Georgia Legislature Requests an Audit of Absentee Ballots in Fulton County

A Georgia state Senate subcommittee has formally requested an audit of absentee ballots in Fulton County.

The Election Law Study Subcommittee voted unanimously that Fulton County, Georgia’s largest county, should make their absentee ballots available for inspection through a digital ID system.

A tech expert who testified before state legislators yesterday attested a significant number of mail-in ballots used in Georgia were designed to be read as errors. Ballots that are read as errors are able to be reviewed and adjudicated with little to no oversight.
