A joint session of Congress must meet to accept votes cast in the Electoral College before a president- and vice-president-elect are officially designated. That session is set to take place on Wednesday, Jan. 6.
It has been reported that at least 140 Republican members of the House of Representatives and at least two Republican Senators are planning to object to Electoral College votes from states were allegations of widespread election fraud have been made.
